WHAT ABOUT

MY KIDS?

Have children? Great! We can't wait to meet them. If you have kids from 6 weeks thru 5th grade, Shalom Kids offers engaging age-appropriate classes for them to grow in the knowledge of God and have fun doing it.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We all have questions when visiting a new community. Here are the answers to some of the questions you might have. If you need more information, you can contact us at the bottom of the page and we'll get right back in touch.

What To Wear?

There is a wide range in the choice of attire so you will find everything from shorts and jeans to suits and dresses. While there is no official dress code, most people choose business casual. Services are time spent with God so it's always advisable to dress with a degree of modesty in mind.

What Time?

There are two services. At 9:00 is a traditional Jewish prayer service conducted mostly in Hebrew. At 11:00, a more contemporary service is held including music, children's education, and the weekly teaching from the rabbi. All are welcome to attend both services.

How Long?

The 9:00 traditional prayer service concludes at 10:30 and the second service begins at 11:00 and usually ends around 12:30. We gather for a light brunch afterwards and normally offer optional supplementary education classes beginning around 1:00.

WHO WE ARE

Our Mission

To provide Messianic Jewish teaching for Jews and Christians in an effort to encourage disciples of Jesus in their faith and understanding of the Kingdom of God, the true gospel message, and the ongoing importance of Israel and the Jewish people.

Our Vision

To bring the peace and knowledge of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel and the Nations, to Middle Georgia and to encourage his disciples to walk in the ways of God as spoken through the Torah, the Prophets, the Writings, and the Apostolic Scriptures.

Our Values

We highly value learning and community and strive to create an environment of acceptance for all who seek to know God. We value Judaism as a solid foundation of the faith, practiced in accordance with the words and teaching of Jesus the Messiah.

FROM OUR RABBI

I want to thank you for considering a visit to Shalom Macon. It's certainly exciting to consider checking out a new community but it can also be a bit frustrating to figure out from a website whether or not it's a fit for you. My hope is that you'll find enough here to feel comfortable making the step to visit.

Shalom Macon is a great place to learn, connect, and grow in God and in relationship with others. Your kids will be well cared for, you'll meet some new people, and with God's help, you'll leave inspired and excited to come back. Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you and I hope to meet you soon!
